Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Dheeraj Singh Thakur administered the oath of office to Balaji Medamalli as an additional judge in a ceremony held in the first courtroom on Thursday.
Justice Balaji was born in Rajampeta in Kadapa district. He started his practice as a junior under Advocate Gudapati Venkateswara Rao after completing his law degree in Hyderabad.
Justice Balaji served as Assistant Government Advocate from 2004 to 2006 and in 2018 worked as Standing Counsel for Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.
Several judges, Additional Solicitor General Challa Dhanunjaya, Solicitor General Dammalapati Srinivas, Bar Council Chairman N. Dwarakanath Reddy and other dignitaries were present.
