SAMWAD – A faculty interaction program was organized in association with Kalyana Karnataka Law Colleges Association and Vijnaneshwar Pratisthana Trust at Seth Shantaram Lahoti Law College Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society in Kalaburagi on Sunday.
Karnataka High Court Justice R. Nataraj, who was the chief guest, delivered a speech on ‘Property Rights of Women under the Hindu Succession Act’.
He highlighted the importance of gender justice, legal awareness and teachers’ responsibility in strengthening socially responsible legal education.
He emphasized the need for academic institutions to equip students with a sound understanding of constitutional values and evolving legal frameworks.
Senior lawyer and law alumnus Amitkumar Deshpande, who was the guest of honour, lauded the institution’s efforts in fostering professional excellence and fostering meaningful academic engagement among faculty members.
The program began with a welcome address by the principal of the college, Maheshwari Hirematha.
As part of the SAMWAD initiative, an interactive session with faculty members was held to discuss contemporary legal challenges, teaching methodologies and the evolving role of law in society.
Participants described the meeting as enriching and intellectually stimulating for the academic community.
Kalaburagi High Court Registrar and college alumnus Basavaraj Chengata was also present on the occasion.
The event was attended by faculty members Vaishnavi Kori, Farhat and others.
