Judge Ashutosh Kumar was on Monday (July 21, 2025) as the main judge of the High Court Gauhati.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya managed an oath of Judge Kumar in the program in Guwahati.
Judge Kumar previously served as a judge at the Supreme Court in Patno and Delhi High Court.

The main minister of Histant Biswa Sarma took part in the ceremony of swearing.
“The oath of justice of justice Ashutosh Kumar, who was sworn as the chief judge of the High Court of Gauhati, took part. My best wishes for his tenure,” Mr. Sarma later published on the X.
