Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) senior leader T. Harish Rao has asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AICC leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to fulfill the promises made to the unemployed youth during the 2023 by-polls.
In a meeting here on Friday, he released a ‘nirudjyoga baki karta’ (debt card for promises to unemployed youth) and accused Congress leaders of using unemployed youth as ‘use and throw away’ material as they were promised to fill 2 million jobs in the first year after coming to power, to issue job calendar and mega DSC (to fill teaching posts) every year posts), but after the arrival of each year they leave to leave them.
The AICC leaders held a meeting with the unemployed youth at the Saroor Nagar Stadium and gained confidence by filling up vacancies in government posts every year. In case the AICC and TPCC leaders including the Chief Minister have the guts to face the unemployed youth, they must revisit the coaching centers in Ashok Nagar and Chikkadpally city central library and see how they will be treated.
The Congress government has not issued any employment notices this year, but has issued notices for tenders for liquor shop licenses two months in advance. On June 2 this year, the Chief Minister had promised financial support to 5,000 unemployed youths to take up self-employment, but he also betrayed it, alleged Mr. Harish Rao.
Stating that at least a section of the unemployed youth now has an opportunity to teach the government a lesson, the BRS leader said they must defeat the Congress candidate in the Jubilee Hills by-election to make the government realize its mistakes. A defeat in Jubilee Hills would make Mr. Rahul Gandhi realize how costly it would be if Congress tries to deceive/betray the youth.
