BRS Working President KT Rama Rao welcomed several senior leaders into the BRS fold at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao said the upcoming Jubilee Hills election on November 11 will serve as a referendum on governance, law and order and the credibility of the Congress government.
Mr. Rama Rao observed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s government had ushered in an era of “bulldozer rule” and administrative chaos. “Since the day Congress came to power, the progress of Hyderabad and the overall development of Telangana has come to a standstill,” he alleged.
On the reservation issue, BC accused the Congress of betraying the Backward Classes through ill-prepared and legally unsustainable measures. “The Congress and the BJP should show sincerity by getting their MPs to push the constitutional amendment to enact the BC Bill in Parliament,” he said.
Referring to disputes involving ministers, he claimed that the Congress cabinet had been reduced to a battleground for commissions and internal rivalries. “From Medaram Jatara works to awarding tenders and passing bills, Congress ministers are fighting only for personal gain,” he added.
The former minister also slammed the Congress government’s negligence on the Airport Metro Express and Metro Phase-II projects and said the chief minister had “poured cold water” on Hyderabad’s future.
Mr. Rama Rao warned that if the Congress wins the Jubilee Hills seat, it would further encourage the government to roll back all welfare and development programs launched under the BRS regime. Earlier, at the Telangana Bhavan, Mr. Rama Rao welcomed several senior leaders to the BRS group.
