Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao said the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election will serve as the people’s verdict on the performance of the Congress government. Urging the party cadre to ensure the victory of BRS candidate Maganti Sunith, he said the defeat of the Congress in this election will force the ruling party to fulfill its promises to the people of Telangana.
Addressing a rally at the Telangana Bhavan before BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha Gopinath filed her nomination papers on Wednesday, Mr Rama Rao said, “This by-poll is not just a contest between two individuals but a battle between a decade of progress under BRS and two years of chaos under Congress rule.”
He alleged that the Congress regime had failed in the growth of Hyderabad due to faulty policies and initiatives and neglecting the welfare of poor families, farmers and unemployed youth.
The BRS leader claimed that the Jubilee Hills by-election will serve as the basis for the revival of BRS under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao. “The pink wave that transformed Telangana will start again from Jubilee Hills,” he said, appealing to voters to support Ms. Sunitha and make the Revanth Reddy government keep its promises.
