Journalists should study all aspects of the problem and objectively and with social responsibility, the District Minister of Satish Jarkiholi said on Sunday in Belagavi, Belagavi.

He spoke after the start of the newly created Association for Journalists of the Electronic Media Belagavi in the Sgbit College.
He called on the media to work in a way that facilitates the development of the district and helps the government to reform the system and solve public complaints. “The media should work to support and strengthen democracy and aid development,” the minister said.
“The truthfulness of messages should be checked before publishing. Press and electronic media should cooperate on the government’s warning. The media must act as messengers of people,” he said.
He made sure he would deal with all the requirements of journalists, including low -floor housing and health insurance points. He promised funds for Hall Madhyam Bhavan for journalists in Belagavi.
Lok Sabha Jagadish Shettar said that for the success of the democratic system, it was needed to effectively function the functioning of the judiciary, the legislative choir, the executive and the media.
“The media should seek to create awareness in society and education of people. Electronic and press media play a very important role in creating social changes. Therefore, they should realize their responsibility and act accordingly,” he said.
