Three weeks after a brutal attack in reporting reports on illegal construction near Pune, journalist Sneha received fresh threats of death.

The Committee on the Protection of Journalists (CPJ) has now urged the main Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis to immediately take steps to protect the journalist.
“It is outrageous that journalist Sneha Barve, who was almost killed for unlawful negotiations, was again endangered, while the main suspect in her attack goes freely,” said Kunāl Majumder, Indian representative of CPJ, CPJ.org.
“Main Minister Devendra Fadnavis must urgently guarantee the safety of the snow barve to send a clear message that the attacks on printing will not be tolerated and ensure that they are quickly prosecuted,” Majumder also said.

NCW chairman Vijay Rahatkar strongly condemned the attack and ordered the affected police officials to carry out a fair and time -bound investigation into this matter.
It also ordered the authorities to ensure that the main accused was arrested and that the survivors were given appropriate medical and psychological assistance.
