
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assured that the long pending issue of homepage for journalists would be resolved soon. He said this while congratulating female journalists on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The chief minister expressed his understanding over the delay due to legal difficulties and said the government was determined to find a solution. The Jawaharlal Nehru Journalist Housing Society welcomed the announcement and thanked the Chief Minister for ensuring that the issue is addressed in a positive manner. The company said the Chief Minister has promised to ensure that the matter is resolved in a manner that avoids future legal or procedural complications.
In a statement, Society President R. Ravikanth Reddy, Vice-President Nemani Bhaskar and Director Srikanth expressed gratitude on behalf of nearly 1,000 members and their families for the assurance given by the Chief Minister. They, however, urged the government to speed up the allotment process, noting that 75 members of the society have already died while waiting for the lands they paid money for two decades ago.
