One of his key goals is to bring back José Mourinho for a second spell as Real Madrid coach. Mourinho managed the club from 2010 to 2013 and featured prominently during Pérez’s campaign. Pérez said he was “proud that José Mourinho, one of the best coaches in the world, is to return.Pérez also promised major changes to the squad. He wants to sign Liverpool defender Ibrahim Konaty and Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries, while teasing another high-profile deal worth more than €150m, which is expected to be unveiled this week.The 79-year-old businessman was one of the most influential figures in the history of Real Madrid. During his two years in charge, the club won seven European Cups and became the most valuable football club in the world. However, the last few years have been difficult. Madrid went two seasons without winning a trophy despite signing star striker Kylian Mbappé, while Pérez’s European Super League project failed to take off.
