
(Bloomberg) – Jordan said he had arrested 16 people for engaging in alleged conspiracy to “undermine national security” in an operation that also revealed the weapon factory inside the kingdom.
The detention is accused of manufacturing missiles and drones, hiding a missile ready for use and recruitment and training of individuals in Jordan and abroad, the State Intelligence Agency reported on Tuesday and quoted the country agency.
Peter said the agency has been following the group since 2021.
Jordan has been on the outskirts since the beginning of the war between neighboring Israel and the Iranian militant group of Hamas and repeatedly said that the relocation of Palestinians is the risk of national security. The country is home to American foundations and since 1994 it has maintained a peace treaty with Israel.

In a television briefing, a spokesman for the Jordanian government, Mohammad Al Mawmuni, said the group produced missiles with a number of up to 5 kilometers (3.1 million), suggesting that missiles were to be used locally. He said that the detention belongs to a group that was unlicensed and dissolved in Jordan.
In a video released by a government and broadcast on local television, some of the accused stated that it was accepted by the Muslim fraternity, and the multinational panaisslamist movement banned in most of the Gulf and Arab states. Jordan dissolved the group in 2020.
US President Donald Trump’s proposal that Palestinians are leaving Gaza to nearby countries, including Jordan, were rejected by the Government of the Middle East. More than half of the people in Jordan are Palestinians.
