The ‘Job Mela’ conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), Job Exchange and SEEDAP at Srikalahasti targeted the less skilled youth and students who are ready to join part-time jobs.
Srikalahasti mla bojjala venkata sudheer reddy who formally inaugurated the Job mela announced that it was part of the initiative announced by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu naidu to create and toe 20 lakh in the state.
“The salary bracket for the jobs offered in this mela is ₹ 13,000-20,000, which will meet the immediate requirements of students who can work part-time or those youth who have to become breadwinners for their families,” noted Mr. Reddy.
Selected candidates will undergo free skill development training to meet the job requirements. Fifteen companies that participated in the headhunt selected 163 of the 312 candidates who attended the Mela. 37 of them were further selected for interviews.
The MLA also announced the launch of a Skill Development Center at Sri Kalahastheeswara Institute of Technology (SKIT) run by Srikalahastheeswara Swamy Devasthanams.
