JNTUA organizes Mega Academic Leadership Meet

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA) organized Mega Academic Leadership Meet at Aryabhata Auditorium on the university campus on Saturday.

The event focused on formulating a roadmap to identify, encourage and guide students and faculty members in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, technological advancement and skill development.

In a speech at this event, JNTUA Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Sudarsana Rao urged educational institutions to create opportunities that foster problem-solving skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, technical ability and leadership among students. He emphasized the importance of identifying real-world challenges, encouraged innovative solutions, and provided students with mentorship, institutional support, and connections with industry experts.

The VC expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh for their vision and support in holding the JNTUA event and conference.

Meanwhile, JNTUA Registrar Professor B. Durga Prasad has called upon all JNTUA affiliated institutions to participate in a coordinated manner. He urged the principals to identify talented students and innovative teams, facilitate their participation in the conference and provide appropriate guidance before, during and after the event. He emphasized the importance of seeing this event not just as a two-day program, but as a step towards developing a long-term ecosystem that supports innovation, entrepreneurship, mentorship and industry connections.

The conclave will include a 36-hour hackathon with a proposed prize fund of ₹9 crore, strategic dialogues with entrepreneurs, capital partners and policy makers, a startup exhibition for selected startups, a school innovation exhibition for students in grades 6-10 and a ‘Pitch Floor’ offering structured pitches for start-ups and tutorials.
