The cyber cell of the J&K Police on Thursday (April 30, 2026) filed a case against certain persons for spreading separatist propaganda “with an aim to disturb public peace and national integrity”.
According to the police, it was a “prima facie cognizable crime” that can be punished under Sections 152, 196 paragraph 1 and 353 paragraph 1 letter b), c) and 2 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
