J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday (April 25, 2026) cited Kashmir as an ideal shooting destination for South Indian filmmakers and said his government would create a “friendly and conducive environment for artists and filmmakers”.
While talking to filmmakers in Karnataka’s Bengaluru, Mr. Abdullah highlighted J&K’s scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage as an ideal destination for cinema. “The government will provide full support and a friendly, welcoming environment for artistes. The government is committed to facilitate and make filmmaking accessible in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Mr. Abdullah.
