The Nationalist Congress Party Sharad Pawar (NCP-SP) MLA Jitendra Awhad on Sunday caused a new controversy after saying that “Sanatan Dharma destroyed India”.
The leader NCP-SP made a comment after all seven accused in 2008 in Malegaon in 2008 were exempt from a special court of NIA.
Several political leaders including MP Medha Kulkarni, Shain NC Shiv Sena, among other things, hit the leader from Maharaštra.
What did Jitendra Awhad say?
When Awhad talked to reporters, he said, “Sanatan Dharma destroyed India. There has never been a religion called Sanatan Dharma. We are followers of the Hindu Dharma. This so -called Sanatan Dharma, who denied our chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
“The followers of this Sanatan Dharma tried to assassinate Jyotiraoo Phuule. They threw cows and dirt on Savitribai Phuule. This Sanatan Dharma was conspired to kill Mahara.
‘Shows you its lack of education’
“The opposition has become the trend of criticizing Sanatan Dharma … His proverb that Sanatan Dharma is a perverted ideology different from the Hindu Dharma, which shows you his lack of education and is responsible for oppression of caste and social exclusion by making such nonsensical comments.”
“Unacceptable to me”
In addition to Shain NC, Minister of Maharashtra and Shiv Sen Shambhuraj Desai, the Sen Shambhuraj desai also affected Awhad’s comments.
“What Jitendra Awhad said to me is not acceptable to me. Sanatan Dharma is a clear ideology that advocates harmony and tolerance … what he said is absolutely bad,” Desai said.
“Incomplete study of the Scripture”
BJP leader Ram Kadam said that the comments of Jitendry Awhada are based on a “incomplete study of Mla”.
“The statement of leader Shada Pawar’s faction is based on an incomplete script … Do you ask Sanatan Dharma? … Do you do it now for your policy? … Is it unfortunate that (Jitendra Awhad) makes such a statement only for the policy of apartment,” said BJP leader.
The BJP MP Sambit also killed Jitendra Awhad and said that the MLA NCP-SCP made a statement “about Islam and Muslims”, “would not receive an answer to a press conference”.
