Jharkhand students shine in COMED-K UGET-2026

Five positions in the top 10 rankings in COMED-K UGET-2026, an entrance test for undergraduate courses, were bagged by students from Jharkhand. One student each from Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Bihar occupied the remaining spots in the top 10 rankings.

There were no candidates from Karnataka in the top 10 but they were among the top 100 rank holders.

The Karnataka Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges (COMED-K) announced the COMED-K UGET results on Friday.

Darshil Modi from Jharkhand secured the first position. Priyanuj Bhagabati of Jharkhand was second and Shrestha Gupta of Uttarakhand was third.

Others in the top 10 are Arsh Parashar who is ranked fourth followed by Ishanka Agarwal, Aneesh Shukla- all from Jharkhand and Narendra Babu Gari Mahith from Andhra Pradesh, Drishti Sachdeo from Chhattisgarh, Manas Jindal from Punjab and Aditya Kumar from Bihar.

The results showed that 11,207 candidates are in the 90th to 100th percentile. Of these, 3,496 candidates are from Karnataka. Similarly, 11,385 candidates are between the 80th and 90th percentile. Out of which 3,207 candidates are from Karnataka. And 10,940 candidates are between 70th and 80th percentile out of which 3,111 candidates are from Karnataka.

The rank cards of the eligible candidates will be generated and made available in their respective ‘applicant login’ on the COMEDK website (www.comedk.org).

COMED-K UGET is the gateway to approximately 25,000 seats in 125 private technical colleges. As against 1,30,620 candidates who applied for the engineering posts search, around 1,10,774 (36,954 Carnatic and 73,820 non-Karnatic) candidates wrote the test on May 9.

This year also the COMED-K counseling would be conducted online and candidates would have to upload the scanned copies of the documents through their login. These uploaded documents will be verified by a committee of experts.

The number of vacancies, tuition fees and counseling dates will be announced in due course. A separate set of counseling process documents detailing the counseling process will also be made available soon and candidates are required to visit the website regularly for all updates, apart from familiarizing themselves with the seat selection process, the release said.
