
The young seller from Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur became an inspiration after the score of 549 stamps in the Neet-Ug 2025 test. Rohit Kumar, who sells mobile phones in a wheelchair, has arranged the ranking of All India (Air) 12 484 and now hopes to get in his home state.
In a video shared by Wallah, the founder and CEO of the platform Alakh Pandey met Rohit in his booth to congratulate him personally. Rohit shared that he was a student of Wallah’s Free physics “UMMEED” doses that supports aspirics Neet with free coaching.
From medical trade to medical dreams
Rohit’s road was far from easy. He said his father worked on the local vegetable market, and after completing class 12 Rohit, he dropped out of college to focus on the preparation of Neet. During the Covid-19 pandemic he worked in a medical store where he was inspired to career in medicine.
When he talked to Pandey, Rohit explained his daily routine: “I worked all day to sell phone packaging and study until 3:00. Then I would wake up at 7 am and return to work.” In another video, Pandey gave him the doctor’s coat to recognize his determination and success.
Neet-Ug 2025 Highlight Results
This year Malesh Kumar of Rajasthan culminated the test and followed by Utkarsh Awadhiya of Madhya Pradesh. Avika Aggarwal of Delhi was the most powerful candidate and finished fifth overall. Maharashtra Krishang Joshi and Delhi Mrinal Kishhore Jha secured the third and fourth row.
For the Neet-Ug 2025, a total of 22.09 Lakh students appeared, which is a slight decline from 23.33 lakh last year. Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of qualifying candidates (more than 1.70 lakh), followed by Maharashtra (1.25 lakh) and Rajasthan (1.19 lakh).
