
Ramgarh:Four people were killed and four others were injured after part of the abandoned coal mine collapsed during the “illegal” mining in the Jharkand district in the morning of Saturday, the official said.
The incident occurred on the Karma project in Mahua Tangri in the Outpost Kuju area.
“Four bodies were obtained from the accident site, while four injuries were saved,” said PTI Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ramgarh Anurag Kumar Tiwari.

The deceased were identified as MD Imtiyaz, Rameshwar Manjhi, Wakil Karmali and Nirmal Munda. They all came from nearby villages.
After removing the debris, relief and rescue operation were taken, the policeman said.
“There is no possibility that no person is trapped inside because the debris has been removed,” said Ramgarh’s SDPO Parmeshwar Prasad.
SP Ajay Kumar said the abandoned mine belonged to Central Coalfields Ltd.
“The company has its own security staff to stop such illegal activities. After we received this information, we expanded our cooperation to CCL,” he said.
Some villagers showed near the CCL project Karma to protest the incident and compensation of demand.
CCL accusations of negligence protesters demanded compensation £20 lakh each for the relatives of the deceased and £5 Lakh for the injured.
“The society let the mine open. The poor villagers went to extract coal for cooking AK incident. If there would be a barricade and adequate security in the mine, this accident could be avoided,” said MD Kalam, villagers.

There was also a meeting of villagers and CCL leadership. The result must still be known.
The police base Kuji for the authorized Ashutosh Kumar Singh said that some villagers were involved in “illegal” coal mining in the place when the incident occurred.
The district administration issued a demonstration cause of CCL management during the incident, the officials said.
Union Minister Annapurna Devi described the unfortunate incident and stated that the state government should be reasonable and immediately take steps to check the repetition of these incidents.
“It seems that the state government is unconscious and has nothing to do with such incidents. I would call on the state government to take steps in such an incident,” she said.
The opposition leader Babulal Marlandi of BJP demanded a high -level probe to the incident.
“This report has grieved me deeply. Many of our workers are afraid that they are buried in illegal coal mines. I pray to God for their security and express my deepest condolences to surviving families,” he said in the X post.
He also claimed it was not an accident, but murder.
“It is because of the negligence of a corrupt and incompetent government that closes his eyes to illegal business in daylight,” he said.
Marlandi asked that if the CCL had closed down the mine there was a coal mafia.
