
Jemimah Rodrigues has been rewarded for her outstanding performance at the Women’s World Cup by being promoted to the BCCI Women’s Central Contracts for the 2025–26 season. She was promoted from B grade to A grade, joining senior stars Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma.
Jemimah’s World Cup journey started on a difficult note with two ducks leading to her omission from the playing XI. But she bounced back in style, scoring a crucial half-century against New Zealand before producing a match-winning maiden World Cup century against Australia in the semi-final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, underscoring her resilience and spirited display in big matches.
