Former minister T. Jeevan Reddy, who recently joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized the state government for not properly implementing the fee reimbursement system, while managements of private colleges are harassing students by withholding their certificates on the grounds that they have not received tuition reimbursement from the government even after the end of the academic year.
While the students were apprehensive about continuing their education without certificates, the college management moved the court to seek directions from the government to release funds for payment of fees, Mr. Jeevan Reddy said at a press conference here on Saturday. Since the government did not release funds to pay the fees, the court allowed some managements to collect a fee from parents for issuing certificates.
