
The Vice President of the United States JD Vance met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the first day of his visit to India and welcomed him as a “great leader”. Vance also expressed gratitude for hosting his family in the PM residence in Nový Delhi.
Vance replied to PM Modi’s post and said, “I was honored to see Prime Minister Modi tonight. He’s a great leader and was incredibly kind to my family.”
“I’m looking forward to working under the leadership of President Trump to strengthen our friendship and cooperation with Indian people!”
After meeting with Vance Modi, he published: “We like to welcome us Vice President JD Vance and his family into a new dilli. After my visit to the US, we have reviewed rapidly developing progress.”
In the next post, he said, “I look forward to strengthening our nation’s relationship with India and thank him for the warm welcome and hospitality of his country.”
The American vice president, currently on a four -day official visit to India, arrived in Delhi on Monday with his family and left for Jaipur. As part of the itinerary, it is scheduled to visit Agra 23 April. The visit will end with their departure from India at 6:40 am on April 24.
The visit comes closely on the heels of a positive and successful meeting between President Trump and Prime Minister Modim in Washington early this year.
What was discussed at the Modi-Vance meeting?
During their meeting Modi and Vance reaffirmed a strong partnership between the two countries. They officially launched a new initiative called India-USA Compact (Catalyzing Opportition for Vomisel Partnership, Accelerated Commerce & Technology) for the 21st century. According to the US Vice President, the initiative is based on mutual trust, shared interests, goodwill and strong context between the people of both nations.
Both leaders have also seen progress in interviews on the bilateral trade agreement in India, India (BTA), and announced that the reference conditions for negotiations were completed.
The Vance Office statement: “Vice President Vance and Prime Minister Modi welcomed significant progress in negotiations on the bilateral trade agreement in the US and India (BTA) and formally announced the completion of the conditions for negotiations and set a plan for further discussions on our shared economic priorities.”
She said the BTA is an opportunity to negotiate a new and modern business agreement aimed at supporting jobs and the well -being of citizens in both countries. The aim is to strengthen the bilateral integration of trade and the supply chain in a balanced and mutually beneficial way.
“BTA is expected to follow their relevant visions” Amrit Kaal for India “and” Golden Age for America “, BTA creates new growth opportunities for workers, farmers and entrepreneurs in both countries,” the statement said.
