Jason Kelce Calls Eagles ‘Ridiculously Good’ Post NFC Championship Win
The Philadelphia Eagles have done the unthinkable, emerging victorious in Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Minnesota Vikings at the U.S. Bank Stadium. And team center Jason Kelce couldn’t help but sum up the thrilling win in grand fashion.
"A ridiculously good year," Kelce exclaimed in post-game interviews as the Eagles gears up for its first Super Bowl appearance since 2004.
The Eagles played a near flawless game, leveraging a dominant all-around performance, including a sparkling display from star quarterback Nick Foles, whose 3-point conversion pass on 4th-and-goal ultimately sealed the fate of the Viks.
A jubilant Kelce wasn’t the only one basking in the success of the hard-fought contest. His tight end counterpart Zach Ertz echoed similar sentiment, stating the team’s overall performance was both "amazing" and a testament to months of hard labor.
"We started this journey almost nine months ago, and these guys have believed in each other every step of the way… We’re taking it one play at a time, and enjoying the ride because we know every moment counts now," Ertz said shortly after the Vikings’ defeat was confirmed.
Given the Eagles have been on something of a trajectory, it becomes increasingly difficult for fans to overstate the impressive nature of such a win; after all, the team endured a tumultuous 2019 season, not to mention losses to the rival Dallas Cowboys no less than just a few weekends ago.
All the same, Kelce summed matters beautifully stating, "Right now, my friends, Philly is the absolute best place, and we need to keep basking in every moment of our ridiculously good fortune."
The stakes are now clearly set for Kansas City, next Sunday, a date with football destiny. Kelce and all his Eagles have set their compass on the road to Super Bowls LII, and who knows, only time will answer whether they really are "the ridiculously good".
