World No. 8 Jasmine Paolini set the tone for Italy in the finals and released the dominant victory of 6-4, 6-2 over Jessica Pegula. Coccietto gathered from 2-4 down in the second set and smashed Navarro twice to give Italy an insurmountable advantage. Their singles victory together caused unnecessary rubber.
“It was an incredible match for me. I knew it was really great players and I had to play my best tennis … I am really happy about the show and the point I gave Italy,” Cocciartto said after her victory over Navarro.

For the United States, the loss is expanding its title drought and their last victory dates back to 2017. Despite the historical success and depth in their team, Americans were unable to equalize Italian executions at decisive moments.
