“Just tried to stay mentally”
Sinner also praised Cerandola as a hard competitor and said he couldn’t afford to be happy.
“It’s a very hard competitor. It is obvious that it is a big challenge for me. Especially at the moment I try to get used to so many difficult situations in the court. I was stopped in the first set. When I bounced back, I just tried to stay mentally and play every point.
In the quarterfinals, Sinner locks the corners with the winner of the match between the Spanish Jaume Munar and Casper Ruud, who is fresh from winning his ATP 1000 Masters in Madrid.
