Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on Saturday by Fervor in two cities Hubball-Dharwad, and the devotees defended the temples and participated in various events organized within the festival.
Children, accompanied by their parents and dressed as Sri Krishna and Radha, attended the celebrations. In some places, the participants took part in the competition to break a pot of cottage cheese. The winners were rewarded with awards.
The devotees put shivakrishna Mandir in Hubballi, the IskCon temple and other places to offer the puja. Rituals were carried out and various programs were held in two -day celebrations in the ISKCON temple. The temple took part in a large number of devotees to participate in the rituals that started at 4.30 pm
On the day of Janmashtami, the Lord was offered 108 delicacies prepared by devotees. The highlight between the offers was 155 kg of Laddu, prepared from the pure desi ghee, Bhairu Caters Hubballi.
The cultural performances of music and dances of artists from Hubble-Dharwad were presented and fascinated by the audience. During Mahabhishekam, the idols of diet were solemnly bathed in sandalwood oil, panchagavya, pancamrites, fruit juices and water filled with gem, in a number of rituals that continued until midnight.
President ISKCON HUBBALI-DHARWAD, Rajiv Lochan Dasa, gave a short discourse about the meaning of Lord Krishna’s appearance and his divine entertainment.
Cultural programs were also held in various residential areas.
