
Jammu and Kashmir: Three Army employees were killed when their vehicle slipped off the road on Sunday 4th May and plunged into a deep ravine of 700 feet in Jammu and Ramban Cashmere.
The army truck was part of the convoy moving from Jammu to Srinagar along the National Highway 44, when the accident occurred near the battery around 11:30, the officials said.
The bodies of the deceased soldiers were obtained from the gorge and are transported to the district hospital in Ramban, the Inspector Parihar told news agencies.
The deceased were identified as Sepays Amit Kumar, Setuet Kumar and Man Bahadur. The extent of the accident was that the army vehicle was reduced to a dissolved pile of metal, PTI reported.
The joint rescue operation has been launched
Officials said that the joint rescue operation was immediately opened by the army, the police, the SDF and the local volunteers and the three soldiers traveling in the vehicle were found dead on the spot.
Ramban Lightning Floods
In other reports, lightning floods caused by severe collisions, Ramban let the Ramban wind during Easter. Three people, including two children, lost their lives because the floods were flooding the score of houses and roads.
The lightning floods also led to landslides that blocked the National Highway Jammu-SrinaGar (NH-44), and left hundreds of stuck on the 250-kilometer section, the only road in any weather that connects Kashmir with the rest of India.
During the interview with reporters, the locals in the region said the lightning basins completely washed out the entire market, which was home to about 20-25 shops.
Three Soldiers Dead in Bandipora
In January of this year, three Indian army soldiers were killed and three other critically were injured in a traffic accident in the SK Payeen area in the Bandipora district North Kashmir after the Army vehicle slipped from the Bandipora-Srinagar road and plunged into a deep ravine.
