Security forces on Sunday (April 5, 2026) launched a search operation in a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district following reports of the movement of three suspicious persons, officials said.
A resident of Bedh Khad in Darui area reported seeing three unidentified persons, one of whom was carrying a heavy backpack, moving along a dry stream under the cover of darkness.
Suspecting terrorists, although no weapons were seen, a special operation group of the local police, assisted by the army and paramilitary forces, launched a search operation to track down the suspects.
Officials said the search operation in the village and surrounding areas is continuing, but there has been no contact with the suspects so far.
