
At the age of 43, James Anderson became the second oldest man to play in hundreds when he got into a bowl for Manchester originals in Wednesday’s game against Southern Brave in Old Trafford, Manchester. Anderson’s debut in the English Premier 100-Míček competition from the veteran widely expected Fast pitch was selected as a selection Originals last month.
But Anderson was unable to make a brand with the ball in his first trip in hundreds. Bowling his full assignment of 20 deliveries admitted 36 runs in a low -volume competition, which Southern Brave won only one during.

The former South Africa offered Dale Steyn his support to Anderson, suggesting that the Englishman could still compete in SA20 if he wanted his business in the South African premiere competition of T20.
Some of the fans, however, questioned Anderson’s integration into hundreds and claimed that it could have come to the expense of a younger, developing player.
“Nothing personal against James Anderson, but is it right to play in hundreds and replace a well -deserved young man?” One fan published on X.
“Jimmy Anderson is unhappy … I wouldn’t play it in this format. The T20 region is fine,” another said.
Anderson started reasonably well, admitted only 10 runs in his first 10 supplies after taking a new ball for Manchester Originals, as expected. Leus du Plooy gave only one limit and soon maintained tight lines.
However, in his last set of five balls during PowerPlay, Anderson admitted 12 runs – including two consecutive border Jason Roy, his former English teammate.

Anderson warmed up to his first Stint in hundreds by appearing for Lancashire in the T20 explosion and racing seven goals in five games, including the three goals against Yorkshire in Leeds.
At the age of 43, Anderson remained a regular feature for Lancashire in the regional championship two. In five matches he claimed 16 goals in an impressive average of 26.93.
Since last year, leaving the international cricket has been looking for Anderson opportunities in the T20 leagues based on franchise. Veteran Pacer even entered the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction. Although his name appeared on a long list, he did not make a final narrower list.
