
James Anderson is ready to make a comeback into a competitive cricket since the last test saying goodbye to West India in July 2024 at Lord’s Cricket Ground. 42 -year -old Speedster was named in Lancashire Squad for their upcoming Regional Championship of Division 2 against Derbyshire to start on Friday, May 16 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
After saying goodbye to the international cricket, Anderson also worked as a bowling consultant for the English male team. Last year he joined Muttiah Muranitharan and Shane Warne in Elite List of Nad Layers with 700 or more test gates.
In 188 tests since his debut in 2023, Anderson took 704 goals at an economic rate of 2.79 with 32 four goals, 32 five goals and three goals. Anderson also holds a record for most goals in one place with a quick pitch in tests. In 29 tests on Lord’s raised Anderson 123 goals at an economic rate of 2.71.
Anderson could not play in the first five regional matches for Lancashire due to a calf injury. The match against Derbyshire will also be the first Marcus Harris as a temporary captain of Lancashire. Previously, Keaton Jennings resigned after a 70-run defeat to Northamptonshire on the regional country in Northampton.
After the defeat, Lancashire’s director of cricket performance, Mark Chilton described the team form as “unacceptable” and said that the club “made the necessary changes” to solve the situation.
Lancashire had a disastrous campaign because he disappeared at the bottom of the table with 50 points because he hasn’t won a single game yet.
