Over the years, veteran Pacer James Anderson has returned with tidy spells for Lancashire in the Vitality T20 explosion, claiming three goals and keeping things close to Durham. A 41 -year -old format in format format ended with characters 3 for 17, which Lancashire limited Durham to 150 for 6.
Anderson, who last played the T20 in August 2014, hit soon to remove Graham Clark (10) before returning to Alex Lees (16) and Colin Ackermann (18). Despite the registration for the mega auction IPL 2025, Anderson did not sell.
International duties often prevented Anderson from regular Lancashire performances over the years. In 2024, however, he played one regional championship and raised 7 for 35. Since he resigned from the international cricket, he has taken over the advisory role with the English male team.
Lancashire made only one change to his side from victory against Nottinghamshire 31. May, while Anderson was replaced by Mitch Stanley. Its integration has brought not only experience, but also control and accuracy, strengthening the party that has already defeated the Worcestershire and Nottinghamshire to strongly start their explosive campaign.
The last time Anderson performed in the T20 was the final of Blast 2014, when he endured a hard trip against Warwickshire, he admitted 52 runs in four without goals. Lancashire lost this match by four runs. Then for eleven years the contrast could not be more pronounced.
Anderson has now played 44 T20, with 41 goals on average 32.14 and an economic rate of 8.47. During his career in the format he represented only Lancashire and England.
After his test retirement Anderson last August said the last verbal podcast that he was open to the idea of playing more franchise cricket T20. “There are a lot of things to think of and I just have to sit down and talk to people,” he said. “I watch hundreds and see the ball swinging around the first 20 balls, and I think,” I can. I can still do it. “I don’t know if it’s a viable option – maybe find out if I could do a job in a cricket of a white ball, there’s something I’ve never done.”
