The former Indian cricket Aakash Chopra believes that Yashasvi Jaiswal could focus on record shifts-Ten, which could Indian launching in an uncharted territory.
The young opener created a clinical performance on the day of the start of the second test against West India in Delhi on Friday, October 10, which ended the day undefeated on 173.
Chopra said to Espncricinfo and said that Jaiswal discipline and patience shows a player who is preparing for something extraordinary. With the Bowling attack of West India to attack him so far, Chopra believes that it could be an ideal opportunity for a 22-year-old to chase a monumental personal milestone.
“There is a possibility, and let’s be righteous-his eyes are set to something bigger. What is the number, we don’t know it yet; we’ll find out in the right time. If you look at some of its previous 150 plus scores, you’ll see a lot of aerial shots and six,” Chopra said.
“In this domestic series against England, where he accumulated runs, including the double century, he was also the highest hexagon-dokonce challenged some Virender Sehwag records for India in the test series,” he added.
Currently, the record of the highest individual score of India in the test cricket belongs to Sehwag, who broke 319 in 2008 against South Africa in Chennai. Four years ago, four years ago he exceeded 300 years ago against Pakistan. The only other Indian that has since joined 300 clubs was Karun Nair, which reached an act against England in 2016.
Chopra was particularly affected by how Jaiswal managed to rely on his natural offensive instincts and play within himself – a significant development from his earlier knocks.
“This time it’s different – 22 boundaries and not the only one in the air.” He takes time. Are not trying to dominate everyone above or every ball. It looks like it focuses on something much larger – a goal that lies somewhere in the realm of imagination at this stage. No Indian has gone there yet, but it’s on the table. It’s within reach. We’ll see where it will end, ”Chopra said.
The latest instance of the dough approaching 400 running came when South Africa Wiaan Mulder refused to break the brian Lary record From respect to the legend of West India.
But Chopra insists that if Jaiswal gets anywhere close, he has to go for it.
“Oh, not at all. The argument has no sense at all. Even Wiaan Mulder – what he did, of course, of course against Zimbabwe. This is against Western India. But how does it matter? Closed.
When Jaiswal returns to the fold on day 2., the stage is perfectly set. If it can survive the early nerves and continue in the same peace, India can see one of the most remarkable shifts ever played in their test history.
