US President Donald Trump will deal with Ung on Tuesday (September 23, 2025), while Mr. Jaishankar will gather 27 September.
Mr. Jaishankar has been on his fifth official US visit in the last nine months and is expected to travel to Washington. During his last official visit, Mr. Jaishankar and Mr. Rubio organized a meeting of Foreign Minister Quad together with their counterparts from Australia and Japan. No date for the Quad Summit has not been announced so far, which would bring Mr. Trump and other Quad leader to Delhi for a meeting to be held in November. The Rubio-Jaishankar meeting was expected to discuss this on Monday.
The Foreign Minister in New York came days after Mr. Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by phone and agreed to renew India-US’s business interviews, from which the US pulled out in August, provoking a chance of greater convergence between the two countries.

Last week, however, the US has also taken repressive steps, such as the abolition of the exemption of the Indian Chabahar port project in Iran, the appeal of visas for Indian corporate managers for alleged involvement in fentanyl of illegal drug trafficking, as well as the introduction of fees for $ 100,000 for H-1B Visa. The Ministry of External Affairs warned against the “humanitarian consequences” of the decision and hoped that the US government would deal with “disturbances” caused.
On Saturday, Mr. Trump also reiterated his claim that he ended the conflict in Pakistan in Pakistan, another cause of the tribe in India-USA relationships, because India has denied this claim on many occasions. “With India, I Said, We Are Not Going To Any Trade IF You’re Going to Fight. And They Have Nuclear Weapons … and They Stopped,” Mr. Trump Said, Speaking About His Efforts to Ensure and Ceasefire to Operation Sindoor on May 10. According to US Media Reports, Mr. Trump Is Expected to Repeat Claims On “Stopping Wars”, Including Conflicts Such As India-Pakistan, Egypt-Ethiopia, Rwanda-Congo, Thailand-Cambodia, Israel-Iran and Azerbaijani Armenia during his address Ung.
