Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared before a special CBI court at Nampally in Hyderabad on Thursday (November 20, 2025), following the court’s recent directive that he must ensure his personal attendance at the hearing in the long-pending disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The court order came after he withdrew Mr. Reddy’s plea for exemption from personal involvement, which the CBI reportedly objected to.
The Nampally Court has scheduled the next hearing in the cases involving Mr Reddy on November 28, while the discharge petition he filed remains pending.

The DA’s case, which dates back more than a decade, relates to alleged counter-investments by private firms and individual investors in Mr Reddy’s companies, allegedly in exchange for government favors during his father, the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s, tenure as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.
The Hyderabad police have put in place tight security arrangements for Mr. Reddy’s visit. He landed at Begumpet Airport before proceeding towards the court, with traffic restrictions to ensure smooth movement of his convoy.
