Former Chief Minister and President YSRCP Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed serious concerns about growing anxiety among medical graduates who studied abroad and now the state government is rejected by permanent registration (PR).
The delegation of the affected students, accompanied by the leader of the student wing YSRCP, met Jagan on Wednesday (July 2) in the Tadepall Party’s Central Office.
Students explained that despite the fulfillment of all requirements – completing medical education abroad, removing foreign medical postgraduate examinations (FMGE) and completing internships in accordance with NMC instructions – the government detains their PR numbers. Some students also claimed that they were forced to work outside the compulsory internship without reward.
On this occasion, Mr. Jagan condemned the alleged police system for protesting students who played last night and expanded his steadfast support for their cause. He built a government attitude as “harassing” not only students but also about their families.
Mr. Jagan criticized the reigning government of the treatment of the medical education industry and recalled that during its time the YSRCP government has established 17 new government medical faculties to expand the opportunities for aspiring physicians, with five already functional. “This government not only stopped the remaining universities, but even returned medical places assigned to the center,” he said.
Mr. Jagan said, “We will stand by you until justice is completed. Your future cannot be endangered by indifferent administration.”
The meeting was also present at the leaders of the student wings Ysrp Mr. Mr. Chaitanya, A. Ravicandra and several young doctors.
