The Andhra Pradesh State Contracts and Outsourcing Employees’ Federation on Sunday expressed concern over issues of “equal pay for equal work” and raised a slew of demands on the state government, including implementation of equal pay norms and legalization of all contract and outsourcing workers.
At the federation’s fifth Mahasabha in Vijayawada, members said that a minimum basic wage should be introduced for everyone, outsourcing of employees should be converted to a contractual system, the retirement age of employees should be raised to 62 years and welfare benefits should be made available to all.
