The Rajampeta Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called for a dawn-to-dusk rally across Rajampeta constituency in Annamayya district on Tuesday (December 23, 2025), intensifying its agitation for discussions with Rajampeta as the headquarters.
Rajampeta Telugu Desam Party leader Jaganmohan Raju, Jana Sena Vellaturu leader Srinivasa Raju and BJP leader Lokesh jointly announced a bandh at a protest camp here on Sunday (December 21). The leaders appealed to educational institutions, government offices, commercial establishments, voluntary organizations and the public to support the bandh.
As part of the mobilization efforts, banners and posters were put up around the city emphasizing the demand for a separate district. Statements have already been submitted to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Education Minister Nara Lokesh urging the government to consider Rajampet as a district headquarters.
Organizers said that Rajampeta serves as a central hub for surrounding constituencies like Railway Kodur and Rayachoti and that the creation of the district would facilitate administrative access for people from several mandals and villages.
