Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Saturday said that all those involved in the alleged criminal conspiracy behind the sting operation targeting former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be brought to light, asserting that the investigation is on and will be completed soon.

Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Kharge said it is a matter of time before they all get exposed – who did the criminal conspiracy, where did it happen, how did it happen, who did the stabbing, why did they do it, how did it get into someone’s hands after so many years, how was it suddenly recorded, how was it published and so on. “We are tracing it from the source and will reveal it in a few days,” he added.

He pointed out that while some claimed it was from 2011, others say it was recorded in 2023 before appearing on social media in 2026.

Asserting that the investigation would be conducted transparently, Mr. Kharge added that those whose names had surfaced during the investigation had been summoned and their statements recorded. “There is no escaping it. Charges have to be filed. We have to take it to court,” he said, adding that the findings would be made available in due course.

Asked about the alleged involvement of Congress leaders, the minister claimed that the video pointed to a case of extortion and extortion as it was “very evident in the video itself”. “When you know the faces that belong to the party are seen, they cannot deny it. But it is a very clear case of blackmail. It is a very clear case of blackmail. And we are investigating; sooner or later everything will be recorded,” he said.
