The film’s music will be composed by AR Rahman. The project will be presented by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions.
Mani Ratnam’s last project was Thug Life (2025), starring Kamal Haasan. The film did not live up to expectations and did not do well at the box office. Sethupathi has a lot of projects lined up.
“All the films I’m currently working on are exciting. Slum Dog (directed by Puri Jagannadh) is a script I loved. I’m also excited about Balaji Tharaneedharan’s next film. Then there’s Pocket Novel (directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja), the film Mani sir, and recently Farzi 2 (DKhelmed) with H. Rajhu Seth. “My stories and my directors are the reason why the work blossoms beautifully.”
Sai Pallavi is awaiting the release of Ek Din. The Hindi film is produced by Aamir Khan and stars Bollywood star Junaid Khan’s son in the lead role. It will hit the screens on May 1, 2026
