The young cricketer spoke about the wider impact of the escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and highlighted the human cost of the conflict.The attack, described as one of Pakistan’s deadliest airstrikes in Afghanistan, killed at least 400 people and injured around 250 others. Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Afghan government, said the strike hit the drug treatment center and left much of the 2,000-bed facility in ruins. However, Pakistan has denied the allegations.

This is not acceptable to the people of Afghanistan.”He strongly condemned the attack and also questioned the intention of such military actions.“I don’t know what they’re trying to prove. They’re coming and targeting ordinary people and we just can’t accept that. Afghanistan can’t accept that,” he said in an interview.“Everyone knows the history of Afghanistan,” he warned. “If this history repeats itself, it will be very bad for Pakistan.Ghazanfar, who is set to represent Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026, also spoke about Afghanistan’s ties with India, calling it a close ally. He called on the global community to intervene and help de-escalate the situation, stressing that such conflicts hurt ordinary people the most.“India is a close friend of ours. We want to engage with them, talk about these issues so that such things do not happen. This is our request to other countries as well. This is not good for the people. The world is going through many challenges right now and this is not good for anyone,” he concluded.The spinner is yet to make his IPL debut and has so far featured in 20 matches for Afghanistan, taking 29 wickets across formats.
