Another social media user named CA Akhil Pachori shared a letter from the Federation of Indian Economic Affairs, applied for by the Minister of Finance of the Union Nirmal Sitharaman to extend the due date of the ITR and the audit reports for the evaluation year 2025-26.
“FIEA called on the Ministry of Finance and CBDT to extend the terms ITR and tax audit for AY 2025–26, which were missing floods, problems with the portal and stress of compliance,” he said.
Ca Malesh Parmar also indicated a mistake and called for an extension from the current ITR 15 September 2025. The social media user also stated that if the income tax department further extends the deadline, people should be awarded for some time before the last day.
“A new mistake. The extension should be awarded in time not on the last date,” Parmar said in his post.
There were many people waiting for ITR, like Himank Singla who said almost itrs almost itrs £1 Crore is still waiting for a submission. “Approximately 1 Crore Itrs is still waiting for submission,” he said.
“Request to extend the income tax date because the government portal faces persistent technical problems. Taxpayers are unable to file a return despite repeated attempts. Kindly consider extending,” the user named @Surajkhar in his post.
