“I was lucky to spend a lot of time there (India) over the last 15 years playing for Australia and the Indian Premier League, last as captain Sunrisers Hyderabad,” Cummins said. “India has such a rich culture from pulsating markets to historical temples and of course amazing food. Energy in places like Mumbai and Delhi is infectious.”

Freshly named the advocate of the Australian Tourism Council, Cummins is enthusiastic about promoting his homeland. “I am proud to be part of an Australian program of friendly Australian tourism and their last campaign Howzat on a holiday, which aims to demonstrate Australia India,” he said.
Cummins revealed what the ideal Australian holiday would look like for the Indian cricket star Virt Kohli. “This itinerary would offer a mixture of cricket, adventure, culture and relaxation with experience in some of the most famous locations of Australia.”

Cummins, who dealt with the pressures of the public’s eye, recognized media control, but remained unknown. “The media, especially in a cricket loving nation, such as Australia, may be unforgivable. I will not allow negativity to distract and appreciate the importance of maintaining things in the perspective, good or bad.”
