Unlike the earlier decision to expand the existing Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express to Belagavi, the Railway Council decided to run a new train Vande Bharat Express between Belagavi and Bengalur.
In a press release, BJP Jagadish Shettar said that the Minister of Railway Ashwini Vaishnav told the new Vande Bharat from Belagavi to Bengalur instead of the expansion of the existing Dharwad-Bengalur train to Belagavi.
Shettar, who expressed happiness over the decision, said that previously during the meeting with the Minister of Railway Ashwini VaiShnav, the Minister of Foreign Minister for Railway V. Somann, Minister of Trade Union for Consumer Affairs, Food and Pralhad Joshi, stressed. It has now been said to be a new train instead, which is a welcome step, he said.
According to the information provided by the authorities, the new Vande Bharat Express will leave Belagavi in the morning and will return from Bengalur in the afternoon. This will be very good for people in the region, he said.
Mr. Shettar thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modim, the ministers of the Ashwini VaiShnav, Pralhad Joshi and V. Somann for a decision and called on them to correct the early date for the opening of a new service.
