Director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Bengaluru, B. Dinesh said there are plans to construct another hospital building in Mysuru with a capacity of 200 beds.
When Dr. Attending the ‘Hridaya Taranga’ program on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru on Saturday, Dinesh said that the number of patients catered by the hospital was increasing day by day.
Dr. Recalling former hospital director CN Manjunath’s determination in building the institute, Dinesh urged the doctors and staff to ensure that the reputation of the hospital remains unblemished. He said he was committed to protecting the interests and welfare of the institute’s 3,500 employees.
Dr. Dinesh assured that he would work to regularize the employment of all the employees and said that an insurance cover of ₹5 lakh would be extended to the families of the hospital staff.
He said he was working to set up one hospital in each of the five Bengaluru metropolitan areas, apart from one in three districts of the state.
Mysuru Jayadeva Hospital Medical Superintendent KS Sadananda said the Mysuru facility has treated a total of 16 lakh patients so far. “We treated 40,000 inpatients, performed 75,000 laboratory procedures, 4,000 surgeries, 73,000 echocardiograms and 10,000 EKG tests,” said Mr. Sadananda. The Mysuru facility at Jayadeva Hospital was supplying Mysuru and neighboring areas, he added.
