
Israel declared a “tactical break” in the fight in parts of Gaza on Sunday. The army said the pause in combat would be limited to areas where Israeli troops are currently not working-al-Mawasi, Deir El-Laah and the city of Gaza. It will take from 10:00 (0700 GMT) to 20:00 every day.
The Israeli statement, however, added that the “specified safe routes” were opened throughout Gaza to allow the safe passage of the UN and humanitarian aid of convoys that supply and distribute food and medicine.

He added that this would allow UN agencies to open up safe ground routes to solve the deepening hungry crisis.

Humanitarian chiefs, however, are deeply skeptical that air drops can safely supply enough food to deal with a deepening hungry crisis that faces more than two million Gaza inhabitants.
