The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) has predicted that isolated places over Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari districts are likely to experience heavy rains on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain is likely at a few places over South Tamil Nadu and at isolated places over North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Rain is likely to be accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places.
Meanwhile, Light Rainfall at several places in the state on Tuesday. Observations at ValParai recorded 0.8 mm, otty 0.6 mm, salem 0.6 mm, adirampattinam 0.2 mm, Menambakkam and Nungambakkam recorded traces of RAIN. Thirupathisasaram in Kananiyakumari recorded 15 mm rainfall, nagercoil 1.5 mm, Anna university 1 mm, vit chennai campus in chengalpattu district recorded 2.5 mm and mailam 1 mm.
