
Hundreds and thousands of users around the world had problems with the application and website of the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter). On Monday, Downdetector, a website that tracks user complaints online, reported 41,612 breaches in the US alone.
According to tracker data, reports in India increased from 1679 at 18:57 IST to 3301 at 19:12 IST. Meanwhile, Canada has seen more than 4,000 outages for X users.
The UK has also reported a large number of complaints about the issue, with more than 10,000 users flagging problems on Downdetector.
X has suffered several outages over the past month, with one major breach reported on January 16 and another earlier incident on January 13.
According to data from Downdetector, thousands of users registered complaints in both crashes. Major cities in the US, UK and India were among the worst affected during the disruption.

When news of the outage broke, users flocked to various platforms — including X — to vent their frustration.
“X is down. Let’s all get on Threads and talk about it,” wrote one user on X. Meanwhile, another person tweeted: “For those wondering, yes X/Twitter is down or having serious problems for many users. The spike in messages started at 7:15.”
One user also said: “X down again and again, Elon Musk and Nikita are going to do something.
While the service has resumed for some users after a brief outage, many others continue to experience issues with the platform, reporting issues such as limited access, slow loading, and problems uploading or refreshing their resources.
