Former Indian versatile Irfan Pathan urged a false quote that Jasprit Bumrah attributed him a media socket. According to the report, Pathan said that Bumrah should continue his first charm on 4th day for five overs because Joe Root just arrived at the fold.
He also quoted an example of Ben Stokes that bowed the magic of marathon over nine overs 5th day and got a valued scalp Klouul in the first session. Pathan, however, distanced himself since the statement and urged the media not to expand the false news.
“Absolutely not. If Bumrah wanted to go through another or asked the captain for one when Joe Root came, no team or lead in the world would stop him. So please stop spreading fake messages-I challenged Team India,” Pathan wrote on his X account.
Before the fourth test against England, an extensive discussion of Jasprit Bumhrah’s work load began in Old Trafford in Manchester. In both matches, he played two tests in the series and registered five goal.
But his efforts were in vain when India ended up on both occasions. As a result, the team has been left in an uncertain position, because a quick pitch in a series is to play only three matches in a series to handle his workload, as Gautam Gambhir revealed before the tour.
The Indian assistant coach Ryan revealed that the leadership will call Bumhrah’s selection as soon as they reach Manchester, taking into account several factors before the decision.
“We’ll call the Bumrah call in Manchester. It’s clear that the series is on the line now, so we’ll tilt to play. But we have to look at a bigger picture – how many cricket days we expect, our best chance of winning Manchester and as it fits into an oval test that follows.”
Meanwhile, after a heartbreaking 22-running loss in the third test in Lord’s, India has a back against the wall when 1-2 ends in five matches. Therefore, they desperately need to win the upcoming game to save the series, which is Bumrah’s presence even more important for accessories.
