IRCTC services may be affected as Tatkal booking facility provided by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) was attacked by the network on Tuesday, with many saying they keep getting “Error” message while using the platform’s app/website.
One user said, “If IRCTC Tatkal booking is done for brokers, then this service should be stopped, fake promises should not be shown. Whenever we book tatkal tickets, this drama happens.”
“Every time I try to book a Tatkal ticket I come across this problem. I get the same error again and again. What’s wrong with IRCTC?” another user asked.
This wave of criticism comes after Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on December 4 that the IRCTC website was up 99.98% of the time from April to October 2025.
Still no big increase in IRCTC outage reports. Downdetector is currently reporting around 56 outages. While 68% of reports were about issues on the website, 31% of reports refer to the app.
