The IPL 2025 match between Kings Kings and Delhi in Dharamshale on Thursday 8th May was dismissed due to an attack from Pakistan in various parts of India. The match was stopped after 10.1 overs, while PBKS fired on Thursday and lost the first goal. One of the skylights left and many thought it was a technical failure.
However, two more light towers were turned off and the crowd was asked to leave the stadium. IPL confirmed on its official X account that the match was abandoned in Dharamshale.
The decision comes after Pakistan attacked several places in Jammu, including the airport. The missiles were burned on Thursday on Jammu from the entire international border. One of the drones hit Jammu Airport, which caused fighter aircraft to climb in response. India activated its air defense systems that were able to successfully capture incoming missiles.
The Indian air defense system shot down the Pakistani plane F-16 after the start of attacks on more places in Jammu and Pandjab. Meanwhile, drone attacks were also thwarted in J & KS Udhampur and Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer and Akhnoor was shot down a drone.
Two kamikaze drones were also shot down in Poonch.
This is an evolving story. Will be updated.
